Mission

Since 1981, The Child Crisis Center has been committed to the prevention of child abuse and neglect. Founded by the Mahnah Club of Mesa, a local service group, the Center opened with 7 shelter beds and an annual budget of $60,000. In the past 20 years we have helped to shelter over 9400 children from all over Maricopa County. With 42 beds and a 3 million dollar annual budget, the programs and services we provide in the areas of Emergency Shelter, Residential Living, counseling and prevention have grown in response to the needs of the community.

Grassroots community involvement has always been the cornerstone of the success of the Center. Still today, the Child Crisis Center relies on the generosity of individuals and local corporations to provide the funds necessary to operate. We are grateful for the continued support of the community as we continue to help Arizona’s families prevent child abuse and neglect.
